Penelope ‘Nell’ Miller passed away softly on 19th January 2024.
A retired primary school teacher, Nell spent her life nurturing the small and the quiet. She was a woman of delicate gestures, a hand on a shoulder, a knitted blanket for a new baby, or a bowl of birdseed for the robins in winter.
Her home was a sanctuary for anyone in need of tea and a kind word. Nell’s life was a testament to the fact that the quietest voices often leave the deepest echoes.
She is survived by her sister, her nieces, and the many lives she touched with her gentle kindness.
